As a physician, Representative Miller-Meeks has focused on aggressively fighting waste and fraud, increasing healthcare price transparency, and supporting stronger rural healthcare across Iowa.
Every healthcare dollar lost to waste or fraud is a dollar that cannot reach the people who need it most. Representative Miller-Meeks has supported stronger Medicaid accountability to protect taxpayer dollars and preserve resources for the most vulnerable. Her Medicaid RAC Improvement Act targets waste, fraud, and abuse within the system.
Representative Miller-Meeks is also working to give patients more information and control over their healthcare costs. Her Prices on the Wall Act would require certain healthcare providers to clearly display prices for common services, helping patients better understand costs before receiving care.
For rural Iowans, access to quality care close to home matters. Representative Miller-Meeks has supported investments in Iowa's healthcare workforce, cancer research and prevention, and tools that improve transparency for patients and taxpayers.
